Mrs. Bass has been a teacher in New Hartford for over 30 years. throughout those years she has been the first teacher in hundreds of lives as their Kindergarten teacher. Not only does she challenge my daughter to help her be a very successful student, she cares deeply about the best for all students.
Mrs. Bass always puts others before her in the classroom and out. She helped so many recover after the flood above and beyond her own house and school classroom. After school began she helped all students affected by the tornado or flood find normal daily routines and comfort with each other while also teaching them to become readers and writers. Mrs. Bass was my husband's teacher and I am proud that she is now my daughter's. Even thought I did not have the privilege to have her as my teacher, as a teacher myself I look up to her in so many ways. She shows love, understanding, patience and guidance to anyone she meets. Mrs. Bass is not only a teacher of the week to our family, but to hundreds of previous students and families she has touched. Thank you Mrs. Bass!
