I nominate Mrs. Amy Junkins to be the Mix 96.1 Teacher of the Week. Ms. Amy teaches in the 3 year old "Ocean" room at community United Childcare/Valley Park location. My daughter Kenzie, started school this fall, after being cared for by my parents. this being the frist time in a school setting, my daughter was very shy and reluctant. Ms. Amy has really worked to develop her social skills with other children . Kenzie is finally coming out of her "shell"! She has been very understanding of all the questions and concerns that we had. Not only is this transition tough on our kids it's tough on us parents as well. Ms. Amy and the staff at Community United Childcare Centers go to great lenghts to make sure the children there are comfortable and excelling. I hope that every parent has a "Ms. Amy" when their child starts school for the first time!
