I would like to nominate Mr. Welch for teacher of the week. My son, Ryan, seemed to struggle with elementary school last year and we didn't get much positive feedback. Mr. Welch notified us via a letter and informed us our child's grade and how important communication is between teacher and parent. He also informed me how well my child was doing via the telephone. A positive phone call home is always nice for both the student and the parent. I think this type of positive communication has really given my son a boost. Ryan really seems to like middle school and is by far doing better than I expected. Positive feedback is what he needed to get going. Way to go Mr. Welch.
